Planken
A community rich in tradition, it was colonised at the end of the 13th century by families from the Valais. It is probable that Romansh-speaking settlers from Schaan and Vaduz cultivated the mountain pastures even earlier.
Planken is located on a wide sun terrace below the Dreischwestern massif. It is the smallest municipality in the Principality of Liechtenstein and at the same time an attractive place to live for people of all ages. Family-friendly facilities, leisure activities for young and old, interaction between neighbours, the breathtaking view and the quiet character of the village with a contemporary spirit make Planken what it is, a village to stay and live in.
